How WhoTextsMore handles your chat
In short: your chat is read and analysed inside your browser. We and our analytics tools receive page visits, anonymous usage events and payment records — never your messages.
What stays on your device
- The chat file you choose, the messages in it and the names in it.
- Every result: who texts more, the cards and the story. They are calculated in your browser by a separate background process and are gone when you close the tab.
- The calendar reminder file, which your browser creates.
- Only in this browser, and you can delete it: which tests you finished (the result name, never your answers), the days you visited, and — only if you tap “Save summary” — monthly message counts with scrambled (hashed) names, so a newer export can be compared.
What we receive
- Anonymous usage events, such as "analysis finished" or "payment page opened", with your device type, screen size, language, the page and the referring website. A random ID stored in your browser groups these events.
- Like every website, our server sees your IP address when your browser contacts it.
- Your country, so we can show the right price. Payments are handled by PayTR (Turkey) or Paddle (other countries); we never see your card details.
Analytics on this site
- We use Google Analytics 4 and a cookieless visit counter run by the developer (farukkara.com) to count visits. We send them the page address without anything after ? or #, and they also see the referring page and details about your device and browser. Google Analytics can set cookies.
- They never receive your chat, the names in it, the file name or phone numbers.
Other services
- No AI service reads your chat. The analysis is rule-based counting.
- Outside Turkey, Paddle's script may load to show your local price. We don't send it your chat.
- Song and film suggestions are random picks from Spotify and TMDB. Your browser asks our server for them with your language only.
Shared links and images
- Names are hidden on shared cards unless you type them in.
- A shared link keeps its summary after the # sign. Browsers don't send that part to any server.
- A “Guess our chat” challenge link contains only who leads in each question, written as “you” or “them”, after the # sign. Anyone who has the link can see it; it stops working after 30 days.
Check it yourself
- Open your browser's developer tools and choose the Network tab.
- Analyse a chat on WhoTextsMore.
- Look through the requests: you shouldn't find one that contains your messages. If you do, please tell us.
