  • The Instant Replier

    Messages rarely wait for you.

  • The Same-Hour Replier

Reliable, without being glued to your phone.

    You reply when life allows.

Your replies arrive when you have time and energy. It keeps your phone from running your day, and close friends usually know what to expect.

  • The Batch Replier

You answer everything — in one sitting.

You handle messages in sessions: nothing for hours, then a run of thoughtful replies. It is an efficient way to protect focus.

What reply speed really tells you

Reply time reflects schedules, notification settings, energy and habit. It can change with interest, but it changes with a busy week just as easily, so single slow replies say very little.

Patterns over time are more meaningful than moments: if replies slow down steadily for months, that is worth noticing — and worth talking about rather than decoding.

WhoTextsMore Premium shows each person’s average reply time and how it changed month by month in a WhatsApp chat. Everything is calculated on your device.

Questions about this test

What is a normal reply time for texts?

There is no single normal. Minutes to a few hours is common in close chats, and longer is common when people are busy. Your usual pattern matters more than a number.

Does a slow reply mean they are not interested?

Not on its own. People reply slowly for many ordinary reasons. Look at the overall effort and warmth of replies, not just the speed.

Is this a scientific test?

No — it is a short self-reflection quiz for fun. It does not measure anything about you or anyone else.
